Issue Position

Our local elected officials and public servants are our own community's industry experts. They understand what needs to be maintained, updated and improved to ensure that our community is a desired location for both businesses and families. Decisions influencing only our community should be made by those we have elected to represent our voice and directly impacted, rather than representatives and senators living across the state. Leawood and Overland Park are nationally recognized for fiscal responsibility, due in large part to outstanding local government control. During his first term, Jan demonstrated his commitment to our local governments and continues to work to ensure continued support is given to our locally elected officials.
